The designs are based on flower shapes, traditional in Honiton lace. Each pattern is accompanied by five illustrations, including a photograph of the wrong (ie working side) of the lace. The brief written instructions are given in French, German, Dutch and English. Elsie Luxton is a lacemaker and tutor in many colleges in Britain, Holland, France and Germany and Yusaio Fukuyama is a Japanese designer.
