An unusual visual representation of the life of a captain of industry. It started as a small booklet, but it grew and grew... The book is built around a core of more than 200 letters from Frits's friends. These letters are printed on the inside of the thin paper fold-outs. They were the guide for what can be seen on the outside. The result is poetic and true to his roots." (I. Boom and M. Lommen, Irma Boom: The Architecture of the Book, 136).
