His many journeys in the Third World or work produced jointly with patients at the TBS clinic in Kijvenlanden, highlight two of his favourite themes: the body and habitat. This first monograph by the artist includes an album of colour and black-and-white photographs of his main installations and exhibitions, such as the Bureau augment? [extended office] and his urban displays. The main critiques of his work have been illustrated with photographs and signed by specialists: Fr? d? ric Paul, Hans Theys, Paul Ardenne, Jackie Ruth Meyer, Joerg Bader, Laurent Busine, Denis-Laurent Bouyer, Patrick Bougelet and Yves Brochard. nnMichel Fran? ois, born in Saint-Trond (Belgium) in 1956, lives and works in Brussels. Although primarily a sculptor, he has extended his work to other mediums including photography, video or various kinds of installations or happenings. He represented Belgium in the Venice Biennial with Ann Veronica Janssens in 1999.
